Conditions we treat
Fibroids and adenomyosis are different conditions, but both can disrupt daily life. Our specialists assess each diagnosis individually and explain whether focused ultrasound is appropriate for you.
Uterine fibroids
Fibroids are non-cancerous growths that may cause heavy bleeding, pelvic pressure, abdominal swelling or fertility concerns. For eligible patients, image-guided HIFU targets fibroid tissue without a surgical incision.
Adenomyosis
Adenomyosis occurs when tissue similar to the uterine lining grows within the uterine muscle. It can cause severe period pain, heavy bleeding and a tender or enlarged uterus. HIFU offers selected patients a non-invasive, uterus-preserving treatment option.
HIFU is not suitable for every patient. Your symptoms, examination and ultrasound or MRI are reviewed before any recommendation. Adenomyosis can recur, so individual follow-up remains important.

CZF is an advanced non-invasive treatment system designed to direct focused ultrasound energy to selected cervical and lower genital tract tissue. It supports precise treatment while preserving normal organ structure and function—an important consideration in women-centred, reproductive health care.
Focused ultrasound energy is directed to selected tissue without a surgical incision.
Treatment is designed to preserve cervical integrity and normal organ function.
For suitable patients, treatment involves minimal discomfort and a short recovery period.
Target indications
CZF may be considered for selected patients with the following conditions. Cervical screening, diagnostic confirmation and specialist assessment are required before treatment.
Following appropriate cervical screening and specialist review.
For selected persistent cervical inflammation.
After colposcopy, diagnosis and individual risk assessment.
CZF does not replace routine HPV screening, cervical cytology, colposcopy or biopsy when clinically indicated. Treatment recommendations depend on diagnosis, age, symptoms and future reproductive plans.

01Assessment & personalised care
Meet with our specialist for a thorough evaluation, including imaging (ultrasound/MRI) to assess the size, location, and suitability of your fibroids or adenomyosis for HIFU treatment. This is where all your questions are answered and your personalized care path begins.
02Safety mapping & tailored planning
Following the MRI review, the HIFU specialist conducts a sonographic simulation to map a safe acoustic pathway for the ultrasound waves. Based on this, a tailored treatment plan is designed — scheduled either as a single session or staged across two sessions. To prepare your body for a safe and successful procedure, you will receive baseline laboratory tests (to confirm normal organ function) alongside clear instructions for bowel preparation and bladder training.
03Non-invasive, communicative care
The HIFU ablation is non-invasive with no surgical cuts, meaning zero blood loss. The procedure is performed under conscious sedation, allowing you to remain comfortable while maintaining continuous communication with the medical team throughout. As a day-case procedure, you can safely return home the same day and resume your daily routine right away.
04Long-term monitoring & support
Your recovery is monitored with follow-up appointments every three months to track symptom improvement and assess fibroid shrinkage. Throughout your journey, our doctors and nurses provide 24/7 round-the-clock support, ensuring a truly patient-centered, holistic care experience.
